Accessibility

We want ViewGum to work for everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, a magnifier, voice control or reduced motion.
Our target
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That covers text contrast, keyboard use, visible focus, labels for controls and images, and respect for the reduced motion setting. We check pages with automated tests and by hand, and we fix problems as we find them.
Known gaps
We do not fully meet the target everywhere yet. The video editor, with its timeline and preview, is the area with the most work left, and some of its controls are easier with a mouse than a keyboard. The captions ViewGum burns into your videos help viewers who cannot hear them, but you should check them for errors before you publish.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on ViewGum is hard or impossible for you to use, email legal@viewgum.com or support@viewgum.com with the page, what you were trying to do and the tools you use. We reply within 5 business days and tell you how we plan to fix it or what we can offer meanwhile.
