What ViewGum makes for Facebook Reels
A faceless short from an idea
ViewGum writes the script, voices it, and adds pictures, captions, graphics and sound.
Paper style. Faceless.
Your own take, edited
It opens on the line picked as the hook, cuts pauses and false starts, and adds captions, graphics and sound.
Clean style. Talking head.

What Facebook Reels allows
Where the apps cover the frame
ViewGum uses one safe box for all four apps, so the same cut posts to Facebook Reels and the others with nothing important covered.
Covered by the app, in a 1080 x 1920 frame
- The top 8% of the frame, where the feed's tabs sit.
- A column down the right 17%, from 46% to 73% of the way down, where the like, comment, share and save buttons sit.
- The bottom 27% of the frame, where the account name, the post text and the sound sit.
The safe box, where captions, titles and graphics go.
How each short is tuned for Facebook Reels
Hooks
The short opens on a specific claim, result, number or contrast of 6 to 14 words. In an uploaded take, that line moves to the front and the video starts on its first word. A title of 3 to 8 words shows it on screen from the first frame, for viewers with the sound off.
Captions
Captions show one word at a time, or 2 to 6 words as the edit style sets, with a word or phrase picked out. They stay inside the safe box, clear of the buttons and post text on Facebook Reels.
Pacing
Greetings, channel intros, false starts and "like and subscribe" lines are cut. Long pauses go too, as tightly as the edit style asks. Punch-ins land on the peak word of a beat, spaced as the edit style sets.
Retention
After the hook, every line adds something new on the way to the payoff. If a take never pays off its opening, the editor's notes say so and suggest a better first line before you export. Each idea lists the platforms it suits, and its script is written for them.
Post copy for Facebook Reels
- The post's first line is under 70 characters, plain and specific.
- The caption is one to three short sentences, under 300 characters, written so a viewer would send it to one friend.
- At most three hashtags, about the topic.
- It never asks people to share, tag, like or comment for its own sake.
- The copy only says what the video says: no invented results, numbers, offers or urgency, no exclamation marks, and titles in sentence case.

Questions
What does ViewGum export for Facebook Reels?
A 1080 x 1920 vertical MP4 (9:16) with the captions burned in, and a title, a caption and hashtags written for Facebook Reels. You download it and post it yourself.
Will the Facebook Reels buttons cover my captions?
Not on a regular post. ViewGum keeps captions, titles, graphics and faces inside one safe box, clear of where the apps draw their tabs, buttons and post text. For an ad, follow the platform's ad safe zone.
Do I have to be on camera?
No. A faceless short starts from an idea and gets a voiceover and pictures. If you record yourself, upload the take and ViewGum edits it.
Can I post the same short on other platforms?
Yes. One cut fits all four, and the post copy is written for each platform on its own.
How long can a Facebook reel be?
At least 3 seconds, with no maximum, according to Meta for Creators (checked October 18, 2026).
What size is a Facebook reel?
Meta says any video, vertical or horizontal, can be a reel (Meta for Creators, checked October 18, 2026). ViewGum exports a 1080 x 1920 vertical MP4, which also fits Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Can I post the same video to Instagram Reels and Facebook?
Yes. The same cut works on both, and ViewGum writes the post copy for each one on its own.
Does it ask viewers to share or comment?
No. The post text never asks people to share, tag, like or comment for its own sake. It is written so someone would want to send it to a friend.
